They're popular for good reason - they're very low maintenance, forgiving, and have gorgeous rich dark green leaves. If you notice leaves dropping off, its possibly due to overwatering or insufficient light. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eHeight and growth rate:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eThey are moderate to fast growing plants (in the right conditions) and can grow a foot a year.
