Rubber plant 'tineke'
This variant is currently sold out.
A really colourful rubber plant, the leaves are variegated with pale green and cream.
Light: They prefer bright, indirect light but can cope pretty well in lower light conditions.
Water: Water when the soil is dry, light and crumbly for 2cm at the top. If you notice leaves dropping off, its possibly due to overwatering or insufficient light.
Humidity: They're not particularly fussy, but wouldn't mind the odd misting. Wipe their leaves clean with a soft cloth every once in a while.
Feed: A weak dose of liquid feed every 3-4 weeks in spring and summer will keep it lush.
Toxicity: Toxic if ingested so keep away from children and animals. Ficus leaf sap can also be an irritant.
Origin: India and Indonesia.
