It was a busy summer here at HB! We kicked it all off by attending Bord Bia Bloom in the Phoenix park in Dublin at the end of May for the Bank holiday weekend.  

Bord Bia Bloom is Ireland's largest gardening festival. A huge attraction are the show gardens, which blow me away every year...

As the winter months approach, we hope to hire a few new roles at HB. We love hearing from people who have fresh ideas, are passionate about what we do, and have creative and interesting work experiences to bring to the table.

We are a small team, and every new addition is so important to us and adds huge value to our business. 

We're still reeling (and recovering from) what feels like a real highlight for our little  business this year... Bloom baby!

We had such craic running a HB tent at Bord Bia Bloom over the June bank holiday and we also had the pleasure (and panic!) of speaking on the Garden Stage twice over the festival weekend. Many of us in HB...

With the opening of our new shop, we’re very excited to be hiring 1-2 people on a part time basis to join our small but wonderful team of hopeless plant lovers.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our products, our customer service, and our passion for creativity. You must be hardworking, have passion for, and good knowledge of plants, and enjoy helping customers.

We're so excited to share that we are opening a new shop in the coming weeks, at 75 Francis street, Dublin 8. 

(Yes...we lucked out and are moving next door!) We're so happy to have a new, bigger home to fill with greenery and more... and we absolutely can't wait to fling the doors open and welcome you in.

Ali Kirby is a Dublin based artist and interior designer. We recently met when we provided her with houseplants for this stunning home she had just completed. 

We had a chat with Ali about where she finds inspiration, and how she styles a room using layers, like a beautiful composition…

We recently commissioned ceramicist Aoife Slattery to create a limited edition, handmade, and absolutely gorgeous houseplant pot exclusively for Hopeless Botanics.

And we are beyond delighted with how they turned out. It is available individually, or as part of a plant and pot gift set.

One of our favourite home grown brands, The Handmade Soap Company recently became stocked in Brown Thomas Dublin, and we had the pleasure of installing their display together with Notions Creative. Located right beside a large skylight, it was a great location for 200+ plants to live! If you're strolling around town, check it out in their Homewares Department on the third floor.

We recently had the pleasure of working with one of our favourite Irish Businesses, The Handmade Soap Company.

They opened a new shop on Dublin's Wicklow Street, and wanted the space to reflect their passion for all things botanical.
