We're on the hunt for a florist to join our team!
We're very excited to be looking for a special new addition to our team!
HB is on the hunt for a florist with at least one year's experience. If you have a huge passion for flowers and a creative flair, we'd love to hear from you.
The position is part time, starting on 16 hours per week (two full days, or half days are also a possibility), with the potential to develop the role further.
An immediate start is possible, but we are also willing to wait for the right candidate.
Ideally you would be available Fridays to prepare bouquets for the weekend.
The candidate must be experienced in conditioning flowers, creating stunning bouquets and fresh wreaths. Experience in working with dried flowers is an advantage also.
Our floral style is a bit wild, certainly colourful, and very much leans into working with flowers in season and Irish flowers where possible.
Currently our fresh flowers extends to 'grab and go' market style bouquets which are available in store only (not online). We also sell beautiful dried flowers and other seasonal items. We do not do florals for weddings.
The main responsibilities will include:
- creating stunning 'grab and go' bouquets for our shop in Dublin 8 and larger bouquets during special holidays such as Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.
- creating seasonal items such as fresh wreaths
- contributing creative ideas towards the design of bouquets and bunches
- inputting into the buying process for flowers and botanical goods
- assisting with other duties in store such as helping customers
- keeping the floristry area tidy and clean as required
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping and chatting with customers, is friendly and efficient and also has excellent attention to detail. We can offer a friendly work environment, opportunities to up-skill through attending training or courses, lots of creative freedom and the potential to further develop the position.
Please get in touch by email. Send us your CV and a short cover email which includes your availability.
Email Erin on hello@hopelessbotanics.ie with 'Florist' in the subject line and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
