Refund policy

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. If your order arrives damaged please email us at hello@hopelessbotanics.ie. Please include a photograph evidencing the damage when contacting us. If you do not report your delivery as damaged (or missing) within 5 days of receiving your order, then we reserve the right to refuse a refund or replacement.  All plants are guaranteed for 14 days after arrival to you, given you have followed all care instructions and have not repotted your plant. Repotting your plant into a new pot will void our guarantee.

Returns

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as flowers, dried flowers, or plants) if they have been received in good order, or purchased in store. If any issues do arise within 14 days of purchase in store, please contact us and we will try to remedy it. For non perishable items, we have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at hello@hopelessbotanics.ie. Please note that returns will need to be brought into the following address: Hopeless Botanics, Dean Court, Dean Street, Dublin 8. 

If your return is accepted (i.e. it is not damaged and is in the same condition you received it), you will receive notification once your refund has been processed. You can always contact us with any questions at hello@hopelessbotanics.ie.

Cancelling your online order

You have the right to cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch with the courier company. If you cancel your order, you will receive a full refund of the cost. 

Refunds 

We will notify you once we’ve processed any refund. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

European Union 14 day cooling off period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
