A timeless classic for a reason, a peace lily is a very easy to care for plant.

It likes indirect light and is also tolerant of some shade. The leaves go limp when it really needs a drink, a helpful indicator in avoiding overwatering. 

Like many house plants, the peace lily is mildly toxic if consumed (so don't do that).
