Orchid bark is great to add in, if you're making up your own potting mixture. It helps with drainage and aeration as water drains easily through them. Bark is particularly good to use when potting up larger plants, it keeps the mix light. The difference between regular tree bark and orchid bark, is that this orchid bark is steamed to prevent rot & mould.
