Fiddle leaf bambino
This variant is currently sold out.
This is a relatively new dwarf variety of the ficus lyrata (fiddle leaf fig). It has slightly thicker leaves and its more compact, but it still has the same gorgeous leaf shape and veining. If you don't have the space for a fiddle leaf fig but love how they look, give this beaut a go. Scroll down to see what pots fit it perfectly.
Light: Bright, indirect light is preferable, but they can tolerate some light shade and some direct (but not harsh midday) morning or afternoon sun.
Water: Water when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil moist at all times.
Humidity: No specific requirements really, but they wouldn't mind the odd misting.
Feed: Apply a weak dose of a fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
Care tips: If you're not watering enough, or are watering way too much you might see some brown spots and a leaf or two drop. Change your ways and your plant will quickly recover.
Height and growth rate: Ultimate height 1 -1.5metres.
Toxicity: Toxic if ingested. The sap can be an irritant so wash your hands if any comes into contact with your skin.
Origin: Western Africa.
